This started out as something to do with mobile phones. However, mobile phones are a tool not a subject, as are traditional cameras and by definition would omit the photographer from the equation. How many times have we bristled when told, “You must have a very nice camera to take such a nice picture, I will have to buy a camera like that.” So, to put the photographer back into the equation and also consider the ubiquity of the iPhone/droid/dash cam we are going to add “street photography” (whatever that means) as the underlying subject. So, use your iPhone/droid or comparable mobile device and see what you can capture while out and about. But concentrate on the subject, not the mobile camera.
Of course there is always the equally captivating “Open” category for those of us who have other images we wish to showcase.
