A basic understanding of some of the technology behind digital capture will enable you to make more informed choices and increase the quality of your images. This session will provide valuable insight into four very important aspects of digital image capture:
What is contained in a RAW file vs. a JPEG file
How ISO is implemented in the digital world
What causes noise and how to reduce it at capture time
How on-camera histograms and highlight alerts are generated and how to interpret them
