Changes Coming to the BCA

In recent years, our parent organization, the BCA, has faced serious issues regarding its finances, governance, and programming.  As a result, the BCA Board of Directors voted unanimously to suspend all programming except for that of the thriving Photo Group.  Upon advice of counsel, the BCA Board is also proposing to change the BCA Bylaws to make them align with the Photo Group’s structure and activities. A new Board, drawn from the members of the Photo Group, will be elected at the annual meeting on May 11th.

We invite you to review the proposed bylaws in advance of the meeting. They can be found on the BCA web site (https://bedfordarts.wildapricot.org/2016bylaws), along with a further explanation of the process that brought us to this stage.  Anyone interested in commenting on the changes in person is welcome to attend the BCA Board Meeting on April 4th, location TBA. In addition we invite all members to attend the Annual Meeting on May 11th for a celebration of the Bedford Center for the Art has accomplished to date. More details and formal invitations will be forthcoming in mid-April.
