Congratulations to our three BCA members - Susan Kottler (1), Joan Robbio (2), and Bob Bicknell (2) - who have images in ‘Endings’, a juried, themed exhibition at Grace Chapel in Lexington. Marv Goldschmitt has eight pieces and Susan Kottler has three pieces in a show curated by the Belmont Gallery of Art at the Belmont Library. The theme is Winter Hours. The show is open through the end of February.
BCA Photo Group member Marv Goldschmitt will have images in the juried show 'Rhythm and Hues: Celebrating Art Inspired by Music' at the Belmont Gallery of Art. The show runs from September 7 - October 12, with a reception on September 22.

BCA Photo Group member Shantel Rich will have a one-person, 20-image show of works printed on aluminum at Gallery Seven in Maynard. BCA Photo Group member Neelakantan Sunder has 5 images in an exhibit of nature photography from the Lexington Conservation Stewards. The show runs from April 1 - 30 in the Pierce Gallery at Cary Memorial Library in Lexington, MA (1874 Massachusetts Avenue). The opening reception is on Saturday, April 7 from 2 - 4pm. If Sunder's images are any indication this is a show that is well worth visiting!

Linda, Bob, and Bob have images in the 2017-2018 Biennial Juried Community Art Show at the Bedford Library. The show runs from November 20 to January 10, with an opening reception from 5 - 6pm on Saturday, December 2.

Bob's picture “Ecllpsed” won first prize in photography at the Bedford Arts and Crafts Show. Another picture, “Long-exposure Becalmed” won an honorable mention and was voted “People’s Choice”.
Bob Bass has had a picture, “Dancers”, selected for the Umbrella Community Arts Center show, “Driven to Abstraction” to be held at the The Gallery at Villageworks, 525 Massachusetts Ave, Acton, MA 01720. The show runs from October 1 - 31 and a reception will be held at Villageworks, Friday, October 6, 6-8 pm.
'Driven to Abstraction' is a juried show of abstract artwork presented by The Umbrella Community Arts Center and exhibited in The Gallery at Villageworks. The artwork is inspired by artist Gifford Pierce’s (1937-1999) geometric studies in color and form. Pierce's work will be be displayed alongside juried abstract artwork from around the region curated by The Umbrella. Pierce’s artwork, from the collection of Nancy and Elliot Lilien, will be on sale to benefit The Umbrella Community Arts Center, a non-profit whose mission is to build a vibrant community through the arts.
Bob Bicknell and Bob Bass each have two images in a juried exhibition at Grace Chapel, (59 Worthen Rd., Lexington, MA) with the theme, "Patterns". The show runs from September 16 to October 29 2017.
Congratulations to BCA Photo Group members Astrid Reischwitz and Joyce Saler, whose images were selected for the 18th Annual Frances N. Roddy Open Competition, a juried show that will be on exhibit at the Concord Center for the Visual Arts, 37 Lexington Road, Concord MA 01742. The opening reception is Thursday, September 14, from 6-8 pm. Joyce wants to thank fellow BCA Photo Group member Dennis Rainville, whose advice on filters helped Joyce to realize her vision for these images.
Diane Bennett and Charlie Mazel participated in the Griffin Museum of Photography's Atelier (portfolio building course) in the spring of 2017. There will be a group exhibit exhibit with works from all of the Atelier participants that will be up from September 7 - October 1. Each artist will have approximately four images hung in the exhibit, and 10 on the web site. The show opens with a reception on Thursday September 7 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The Griffin is at 67 Shore Road, Winchester, MA.
